Amateur film Germany occupies Holland in 1940

Dr. Hoogland made a film impression of the mobilisation of the Dutch army in 1939 and the subsequent occupation of the Netherlands by German troops. There are shots of the bombardment of Rotterdam possibly taken from journals. The broken English commentary suggests that it was made right after the end of the war when the Dutch still had to brush up their English which they hadn’t heard spoken after so many years. Incidentally the town of Breukelen is shown. The early Dutchmen in New York named Brooklyn after it.
