Canada: German immigrants in 1953 Einwanderer

An old film welcoming immigrants from a conquered nation. Most Germans were helped by their churches in Canada. About a quarter million German immigrants settled in Canada not all of them with a view to apply for Canadian citizenship. I wonder whether all people seen are Germans as one of them has the name of ‘Leegwater’ which is a typical Dutch name. Of course many Dutchmen emigrated too. In fact I was an expat sailing for Hong Kong in 1949.
