Glorious Kyoto in the fifties – Zen

An old tourist film introduces Kyoto as it once was. But all of its temples are the same although cluttered by tourists by now. Finally life in a Rinzai Zen Buddhist monastry is shown. I other clips I have done the same for a Soto Zen buddhist temple in Yokohama. This is the first part of the Kyoto film – the second will follow soon. The film was discolored. I have tried to restore the colors a bit.
