Hong Kong Lantau island 1951-1982

In 1951 I made a trip to Lantau. I had to get ashore at Tung Chung Bay by sampan. At day’s end I started to climb the hills up along Shek Mun Kap path until I reached the monastery in moonlight. How different it is now. In 1982 Germans visited the completely new monastery with its giant Buddha image.
