Lhasa, Tibet, festival in 1939

From an old german film showing either the Saka Dawa, or the Shoton festival as held in those prewar times. The sound track seems to have been contrived later. Sorry, for the german commentary and dutch subtitling, but you wouldn’t have been much wiser from the commentary.
