Malaysia KL forty years ago

Who helps me out with this puzzle? These scenes in a 16mm film I bought show an event in a stadium supposedly taken in 1976 in Malaysia. But I do not recognize this event, nor the stadium. Can any of the viewers enlighten me which stadium this is and what event?
