Sri Lanka 1978 Bentota elephant festival

A silent super 8 film to which I have improvised sound of a Buddhist festival near Bentota in this beautfil island. A viewer adds: This is actually not an “elephant festival” it is a mini form of “Perahera” . ( smaller than the popular Kandy Esala Perahera) . It is to pay homage to Mahākāśyapa the great disciple of Budhha . Mahākāśyapa
tooth is enshrined in the pagoda/stupa of that temple , the pagoda is also visible for few seconds.
